Getting Started

This is a great time of year to start a MN sports blog in my estimation. You have the Vikings and Gophers football in the heat of their seasons, the T'Wolves in preaseason with their opener just two weeks away, and midnight madness aka "Tubby's Tipoff" for the Gophers b'ball team right around the corner. I don't have a formal journalist background and I certainly don't have a strong athletic pedigree but I'm a passionate sports fan so I figure why not. I hope you find it relevant and interesting. Go ahead and leave some comments, that will help direct what I talk about.

Being a long time Vikes fan, I attended the Vikes vs. Lions game this past Sunday with my father and my brother-in-law from Michigan. Just your typical football game when these two teams go head to head; each trying too hard or some would say not hard enough with fumbles and blocked kicks. Much to my suprise, I have not heard so many Boo Birds out in the Dome in a long time. Does the Vikes and Childress really deserve the Boo Birds?

I didn't know Minnesota had a any sports fans. Haha, kidding of course. Have fun with this KB.

Yes, it is interesting that the Vikes get booed more at home than on the road. ESPN did a coaches approval rating poll a couple of weeks ago and Childress scored a 11% rating. My question, who is the 11%.

I love the coaches approval rating article. The last time I read, Childress was down to 9%. I don't think sports fans in general can relate to Childress. He is too robotical in press conferences, runs a boring offense, and hasn't improved the Vikings in three years at the helm. Unfortunately, the best coach on that staff is Leslie Frazier and he will soon be gone to another franchise....Let the "Hire Bill Cowher" talk start now!
